How do I apply to Ek Burapa School?
“Applying to Ek Burapa School is simple. There are two ways:
1. Walk in to our Information Centre at 18 Samwa Road, Minburi. We recommend this path — our team will give you a personal school tour so you can see if EBS is the right fit for your family.
2. Apply online — go to our Admissions page, download the application form, and email it to [email protected]. Our admissions team will contact you shortly after.
Seats are limited each year, so early application is advised.”
When should I apply to Ek Burapa School?
We recommend applying as early as possible. Due to high demand, our waiting list can extend up to two years in advance — particularly for K.1 and G.1 intakes. What are the age and grade requirements for admission?
Ek Burapa School welcomes students from Kindergarten through to Primary, giving your child the opportunity to grow with us from their very first years of learning all the way through to Grade 6. Our main intakes are K.1 and G.1, however, places at other grade levels are also available depending on availability — contact our admissions team to check current openings.
What documents do I need to apply?
To get started, all you need is to submit the application form — no documents required at this stage. If your application proceeds, our admissions team will contact you to request any additional information in due course. Simple and straightforward.
Is there an entrance exam or interview?
“At Ek Burapa, we believe the admissions process should excite your child, not intimidate them.
Kindergarten — a play-based, research-backed evaluation that feels more like a fun day at school than a test. This is a big day for both you and us, and our candidates typically return with a positive experience.
Primary — a thoughtful, age-appropriate assessment across both character and academic foundations.
Parents are also part of our admissions evaluation. We observe family interaction and values to ensure EBS is genuinely the right environment for your child — and that your family is the right fit for our community.”
Can I book a school tour before applying?
“Absolutely — and we strongly encourage it. Many families visit us years before their child is ready to enrol, some even from infancy. There is no better way to experience what makes EBS special than walking our 26-rai campus in person.

How much are the school fees at Ek Burapa School?
“Ek Burapa School offers an English Program education at a fee that makes it one of the most accessible quality schools in Bangkok — under ฿140,000 per year, or under ฿70,000 per semester for the 2026 academic year.
For context, full international schools in Bangkok typically charge ฿400,000–1,200,000 per year. At EBS, your child receives the same level of English mastery you would expect from an international school graduate — delivered by native English speakers from K.1 — combined with the academic rigour of the Thai National Curriculum.

“Full international schools in Bangkok can cost ฿400,000–1,200,000 per year. EBS delivers a comparable English learning environment at under ฿140,000 — a fraction of that investment.

Are there any costs beyond tuition?
Beyond tuition, additional costs may include books and learning materials, van service, lunch, uniform, and activity fees for field trips and camps. We are transparent about all costs — our admissions team is happy to walk you through a full breakdown so there are no surprises.
Does Ek Burapa School accept tea money or have any hidden fees?
“No — and we want to be unambiguous about this. EBS does not accept tea money or any unofficial payments of any kind. We have no brokers or agents acting on our behalf, so any third party claiming to facilitate admission to EBS is not affiliated with us. We also do not collect fees disguised as “”school development funds”” or any other informal charges.
The only fees during admissions you will ever pay at EBS are the ones our admissions team puts in front of you in writing. Nothing more, nothing less.

What curriculum does Ek Burapa School follow?
“Ek Burapa School follows the English Program (EP) curriculum — and takes it further than most.
We hold an official partnership with the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC), one of the first schools in Thailand to do so. Developed by Oxford University Press, the publishing arm of the University of Oxford, the OIC builds global skills, wellbeing, and a genuine joy of learning into every lesson — mirroring the British National Curriculum and creating a clear pathway toward IGCSE and A-Levels.

What is the Oxford International Curriculum (OIC)?
“The Oxford International Curriculum is a globally recognised framework developed by Oxford University Press — the publishing arm of the University of Oxford. It is built around three pillars: Global Skills, Wellbeing, and the Joy of Learning, and mirrors the British National Curriculum to provide a clear pathway toward IGCSE and A-Level qualifications.
What sets the OIC apart is how it teaches. Every lesson is designed around inquiry-based and play-based learning — encouraging children to think critically, collaborate, and develop a love of discovery that stays with them long after school.
As an official OIC partner, EBS students also gain access to a forward-looking subject offering that most schools simply do not have — including Computing, Sustainability, Wellbeing, and Global Skills Project embedded directly into the timetable. What's the difference between the Oxford International Curriculum and the Cambridge Curriculum?

Will my child be able to sit IGCSE or A-Level exams after EBS?

What subjects do students study beyond the standard curriculum?

What languages do students get to learn at Ek Burapa School?

How are students assessed? Are there exams?
“At EBS, we believe assessment should serve the child — not the other way around.
We use a range of assessment methods designed to capture what truly matters: how a child thinks, creates, collaborates, and grows — not just how they perform on a given day. Where possible, we favour project-based evaluations, observations, and portfolio work over formal examinations, so that learning remains a positive and motivating experience.
That said, we take academic readiness seriously. Upper Primary students are assessed through more reflective and structured methods to ensure they are fully prepared for the demands of secondary school — including middle school admissions processes where applicable.
We assess what matters, in ways that matter.”
How qualified is Ek Burapa School's management?
“Ek Burapa School is led by a founding management team with over 20 years of hands-on experience building one of Minburi’s most trusted educational institutions.
Our leadership is among the most credentialed in the EP school space in Thailand. The majority of our management team are graduates of Chulalongkorn University — Thailand’s most prestigious university — including multiple PhD holders in Education, with one member having dedicated their entire academic journey to the Faculty of Education from undergraduate through to doctoral level.

Are all teachers native English speakers?

From what age does English instruction begin?
From the very first day your child sets foot in EBS. English instruction begins at Kindergarten 1 — the moment they walk through our doors, they are immersed in an English-speaking environment led by native teachers. There is no transition period, no gradual introduction. Day one is day one.
Will my child still learn Thai?
“Absolutely — and we do not compromise on this. As an English Program school, mastering both English and Thai is not optional. It is a fundamental expectation of every EBS student.
Thai language, Thai culture, and Thai values are woven throughout our curriculum from Kindergarten to Primary. Our students leave EBS genuinely bilingual — confident in English, grounded in Thai.”
My child speaks no English at all — can they still join?
“Absolutely.
In fact, immersion is exactly how we teach — and young children are remarkably well-suited to it. At EBS, your child does not need to arrive with any English at all. My child doesn't speak Thai at all — is that a problem?
“Not at all. We have welcomed families who arrived with no Thai whatsoever, and their children have thrived. Language is never a barrier to joining our community.
For students who need it, we offer additional language support to help them settle in and build confidence at their own pace. Before long, most parents are surprised by how quickly their child adapts.”

“Yes — EBS operates a full van fleet serving families across Bangkok and the surrounding areas. Our students come from all corners of the city, and we are proud to make the commute as convenient as possible for every family.
